History.
HNoMS Uredd (P-41) was a Norwegian U-class submarine built in Britain during the Second World War. Launched in 1941 and commissioned into the Royal Norwegian Navy in exile, Uredd operated from British bases alongside Allied forces. She conducted patrols in the North Sea and along the occupied Norwegian coast, focusing on reconnaissance, mine-laying and special operations. In February 1943, Uredd was assigned to Operation Seagull, a mission to land Norwegian commandos near Bodø to attack German installations. On 10 February 1943, the submarine struck a German mine off Fugløyvær and sank with the loss of all 42 crew and commandos aboard. The wreck was discovered in 2003, confirming her fate.
