History.
The Panzerkampfwagen IV Ausf. G, a German medium tank, was introduced during World War II in 1942. As a significant upgrade in the Panzer IV series, it featured improved armour and firepower, designed to counter increasingly formidable Allied tanks. The Ausf. G variant saw the introduction of the longer 7.5 cm KwK 40 L/43 gun, capable of penetrating thicker enemy armour at greater distances, making it a more versatile battlefield asset.
This model also had additional frontal armour, raising its weight but enhancing survivability. The Panzer IV Ausf. G served extensively on the Eastern and Western Fronts, proving a reliable workhorse in various roles, including infantry support and anti-tank engagements, solidifying its place in tank warfare history.
