History.

The Panzerhaubitze 2000 (PzH 2000) is a highly advanced German self-propelled artillery system developed in the late 20th century. Designed by Krauss-Maffei Wegmann and Rheinmetall, it entered service with the Bundeswehr in 1998. The PzH 2000 boasts exceptional firepower and mobility, featuring a 155mm L52 gun capable of firing a variety of munitions up to a range of 40 kilometers with standard shells and over 60 kilometres with rocket-assisted projectiles.

Its state-of-the-art autoloading system allows for rapid-fire capabilities, achieving a burst rate of three rounds in nine seconds and sustained rates of 10 to 13 rounds per minute. The vehicle is protected by composite armour, providing defense against small arms and artillery fragments. Its advanced fire control system, GPS, and inertial navigation enable precise targeting.

The PzH 2000 has been exported to several NATO allies and has seen combat use, including in Afghanistan, demonstrating its effectiveness and reliability in modern warfare scenarios. Its combination of firepower, protection, and mobility makes it one of the most formidable artillery systems in the world.
