History

The Engin Blindé de Reconnaissance et de Combat (EBRC) Jaguar is a modern French armoured reconnaissance and combat vehicle, developed to replace older platforms such as the AMX-10RC and ERC 90. Introduced in the 2020s, the Jaguar is part of France’s SCORPION programme, which aims to modernise its land forces. Designed for versatility, it features a 40mm cannon, anti-tank missiles, and advanced sensors for enhanced battlefield awareness. The vehicle is highly mobile, protected against mines and improvised explosive devices, and capable of operating in diverse combat environments. Built through a collaboration between Nexter, Arquus, and Thales, the Jaguar reflects France’s commitment to high-tech, networked warfare. It is set to play a central role in future French and allied military operations.
