History.
Fiat Abarth, established through the collaboration between Fiat and Carlo Abarth, became a symbol of Italian performance and engineering. Founded in 1949 by Abarth, the company initially focused on tuning small cars and producing racing exhausts. In the 1950s and 60s, Abarth-built Fiats gained fame in motorsport, particularly with models like the Fiat Abarth 595 and 695, based on the iconic Fiat 500. These compact cars delivered impressive speed and agility, dominating their classes in racing events. Fiat officially acquired Abarth in 1971, incorporating its expertise into performance models. Though the brand lay dormant for some time, it was revived in 2007, continuing to produce sporty versions of Fiat models, preserving Abarth's racing heritage and commitment to spirited driving.
