History.

USS Enterprise (CVN-65) was the world's first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier and one of the most iconic warships ever built. Commissioned in 1961, she revolutionised naval operations with eight nuclear reactors that allowed her to steam for years without refuelling. During a remarkable 51-year career, Enterprise served in the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Vietnam War, Operation Desert Storm, and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Nicknamed the "Big E", she carried dozens of aircraft and thousands of crew, projecting American air power across the globe. Decommissioned in 2012, Enterprise remains one of the longest-serving aircraft carriers in history and paved the way for every nuclear-powered carrier that followed, leaving a lasting legacy in naval aviation.
