History
The T-90MS is a modernised version of Russia’s T-90 main battle tank, developed by Uralvagonzavod. Building on the T-90A platform, the T-90MS was unveiled in 2011, featuring significant upgrades in firepower, protection, and electronics. It includes a new turret design, improved ERA (explosive reactive armour), a more powerful engine, and an advanced fire-control system. Designed with export in mind, it offers modern battlefield capabilities while retaining the reliability and ruggedness of earlier models. The T-90MS is equipped with a 125mm smoothbore gun and can fire guided missiles. Enhanced crew comfort and digital systems mark a leap forward in Russian tank design. It has attracted interest from several countries and represents the latest evolution of the proven T-90 series.
