History.

The telehandler, or telescopic handler, is a versatile lifting machine that has revolutionised construction, agriculture, and industry since its inception. The concept originated in the 1970s when Bobcat developed the first rough-terrain forklift. However, it was JCB that made significant strides in the evolution of telehandlers in 1977, introducing the Loadall, which featured a telescopic boom for extended reach and versatility.

Over the following decades, telehandlers underwent continuous improvements, incorporating advancements in hydraulics, operator safety, and lifting capacity. The 1990s saw the introduction of models with increased manoeuvrability and stability, making them indispensable on worksites. Today, telehandlers can perform a wide array of tasks thanks to various attachments like buckets, winches, and pallet forks.

The telehandler's adaptability and efficiency have cemented its place as a crucial piece of equipment in modern construction and agricultural operations, continuing to evolve with technology to meet the demands of various industries.
