History.

The F-4S Phantom II "Black Bunny" holds a unique place in aviation history. It was a modified version of the iconic F-4 Phantom II, renowned for its versatility and performance during the Cold War. The "Black Bunny" gained fame as part of the U.S. Navy’s Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Four (VX-4), based at NAS Point Mugu, California. Its striking black paint scheme, adorned with a white Playboy bunny emblem, made it instantly recognisable. This distinctive livery was intended for publicity, as VX-4 was tasked with evaluating advanced weapon systems. The F-4S model featured enhanced avionics and upgraded engines, ensuring its relevance in modern combat. Today, the "Black Bunny" symbolises innovation and the Phantom's enduring legacy in aviation.

    To cut a long story short this is an absolutely fantastic model. It's gorgeous. But it took an effort to get there (my fault). As long as you follow the instructions you'll be fine haha!
