History.
The F-16 Fighting Falcon, a versatile aircraft by General Dynamics, now produced by Lockheed Martin, is used by many air forces worldwide. Poland received their first F-16s in late 2006 and still operates them. Originally a 4th generation fighter from the 1970s, the latest versions meet 4.5 generation requirements. F-16s have seen combat as attack and fighter planes, starting with Israel's 1981 strike on Iraq's Osirak reactor. In 1991, 249 F-16s were deployed in Operation Desert Storm. They've fought in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and more.
