The aircraft's details and historical colours have been faithfully replicated. The cockpit can be opened, allowing for the placement of a pilot figure adorned with a distinctive headscarf.

Displaying the set is made even more striking with a dedicated stand and nameplate showcasing the aircraft's name. With durable prints and accurate historical markings, this model is a valuable addition to any collection of Second World War aircraft, appealing to history enthusiasts, military vehicle aficionados, and fans of building top-quality brick model sets.

History.

The KAWASAKI KI-61, also known as the "Flying Swallow," was a Japanese fighter aircraft during World War II. Initially mistaken by the Americans as an Italian design, they nicknamed it "Tony," hinting at its alleged Italian origins. Officially designated as the Army Fighter Model 3 in Japan, over 3,000 units were produced. It first encountered U.S. airmen during the Doolittle Raid on April 18, 1942, over Yokohama Harbour.
