History.
The Jagdpanzer V "Jagdpanther" stood as the pinnacle of German tank destroyers during World War II. Based on the renowned Panther tank chassis, this imposing vehicle was armed with the highly effective and battle-proven 88mm gun. Its exceptional armour and mobility set it apart. Production of the Jagdpanther began in December 1943, with approximately 392 units manufactured by the war's end. Jagdpanthers saw action in Normandy, the Ardennes, and Germany. They also made their presence felt on the Eastern Front in the autumn of 1944, successfully engaging Soviet IS-2 tanks.
