History.
King Tiger V2 refers to Versuchs-Fahrgestell No. V2 (Trial Chassis V2), the second of three prototype test vehicles built by Henschel in December 1943 during the development of the Tiger II. It never saw action in combat; instead, it spent the war at Henschel's proving grounds in Haustenbeck undergoing trials. Captured by British forces in 1945, it is now preserved at The Tank Museum in Bovington, England, making it the oldest surviving King Tiger in the world.
