History.

The Supermarine Spitfire Mk. IIa P7350 stands as a living testament to aviation history. Built at Castle Bromwich in 1940, it is the oldest airworthy Spitfire in existence and the only surviving aircraft from the Battle of Britain still flying today.

During the conflict, P7350 flew operational sorties with No. 266 and No. 603 Squadrons, even surviving a bullet wound to its bulletproof windscreen during combat in October 1940. Powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin XII engine, this iconic fighter featured an elliptical wing design that provided exceptional speed and agility.

Today, P7350 serves with the Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, honoring the courage of wartime aviators across airshows nationwide.
