History.
The Frégate de Défense et d'Intervention (FDI), also marketed internationally as the Belharra class, is a mid-sized, highly digitalised multi-role guided-missile frigate built by France's Naval Group. Designed for high-intensity blue-water combat and multi-domain operations, it serves as a central platform for anti-air, anti-submarine, and anti-surface warfare.
Known as the Amiral Ronarc'h class in the French Navy and the Kimon class in the Hellenic (Greek) Navy, it features an inverted bow design to optimize speed and stability in rough seas while maintaining high stealth characteristics.
