Top Ten Best Selling COBI Aircraft sets of 2020

After the success of our top 10 best selling Cobi tank sets of 2020 blog post, I thought it would be rude not to create the Cobi aircraft equivalent!

So, here are our top 10 best sellers so far this year (as of 2nd July) and what our customers have said about them:

1. Supermarine Spitfire Mk VB - Lego compatible COBI 5708 - 280 brick fighter aircraft - while stocks last: out of production until October

“As British citizen, you can't help but admire the Spitfire and this model is a fantastic representation of the real thing. Very good size and the stand and name plate are a great touch.” ~ Jake C

2. Air Cavalry - 'Huey' - Lego compatible COBI 2232 - 405 pieces military helicopter - last few then unavailable until September

3. Concorde - Lego compatible COBI 1917 - passenger aircraft - available for pre-order: due back in stock later this month.

5. Vickers Wellington MK. 1C - Lego compatible COBI 5531 - 560 brick medium bomber - only 3 left and currently out of production with no known return date :(

6. Vought F4U Corsair - Lego compatible COBI 5714 - 270 brick fighter aircraft - available for pre-order due back in stock in August/September

7. Supermarine Spitfire Mk IX - Lego compatible COBI 5525 - 280 brick fighter aircraft

8. B-17F 'Memphis Belle' - Lego compatible COBI 5707 - 920 brick heavy bomber - last few remaining then out of production until September

"Great kit! A bit more challenging than smaller planes, but that was expected." ~ Robert B.

9. Messerschmitt Bf 109 - Lego compatible COBI 5715 - 278 brick fighter aircraft - out of production until further notice (but hopefully September/October)

"In summary, another fine model from Cobi, and it’s great to have a different variant to add to the collection. Like some of the other newer Cobi aircraft (the Huey springs to mind) this one looks far better in reality than it does in photographs, and I’m very pleased with it." ~ Mark C.

 

10. Junkers JU 87 B 'Stuka' - Lego compatible COBI 5705 - 370 brick dive bomber - while stocks last: out of production until September

"...excellent model, and worthy of the five-star rating. It was a pretty straightforward build, which took me a couple of hours, and the result is sturdy and substantial." ~ Mark C.

 

Well there you go - shame not to see any WWI planes on the list but otherwise I think most of these sets were fairly easy to predict for us.
