Historic flight + New COBI kits pre-order ready!
Before I dive into the main feature, we’ve just added a few new kits and figures to our Pre-order collection this week. Pre-orders are looking a bit lighter than usual right now, but hopefully, plenty more exciting kits will be announced by COBI soon!
For this week's main focus, I wanted to share a historic milestone: earlier this month, the Polish Heritage Flight’s Hawker Hurricane G-HURI took to the skies over Poland to honour the brave WWII aviators who served alongside the RAF. From emotional flypasts in Piła and Powidz to an upcoming handover ceremony at RAF Northolt, discover how this iconic fighter carried decades of memory and legacy back home.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Warmest wishes,
Zoë

Historic Hawker Hurricane G-HURI Completes Polish Commemorative Journey
Between 7th and 12th August, the iconic Hawker Hurricane G-HURI took to the skies on a landmark flight to Poland, marking the culmination of nearly two years of detailed planning, fundraising, and dedication by the team at the Polish Heritage Flight. Painted in the dual scheme of 302 'City of Poznan' Squadron to pay tribute to historic RAF fighter pilots, the famous Second World War aircraft embarked on its flight across the Channel to bring the memories, stories, and legacy of the Polish airmen who fought in the Battle of Britain back to their homeland.
While the ambitious mission—originally dubbed "Duxford to Dęblin"—faced operational adjustments that prevented the aircraft from completing its final leg into Dęblin directly, the Hurricane successfully touched down at historic aviation sites across Poland, including Piła and Powidz.
The symbolic culmination of this extraordinary journey will take place on 29th August when the Hurricane lands at RAF Northolt. There, pilot Dave Harvey will present the official Pilots' Log Book, filled with tributes from supporters, to Officer Cadets from the Polish Air Force University in Dęblin. It serves as a poignant reminder of the enduring bond between British and Polish armed forces, proving that the brave legacy of the Hurricane and its aircrews continues to inspire generations to come.
