History
The T-34-85 was a formidable Soviet medium tank introduced in 1944 to counter heavily armoured German Tiger and Panther tanks during the Second World War. Building upon the original T-34 design, this upgraded variant featured a larger, three-man turret and a powerful 85mm gun, vastly improving firepower and crew efficiency. Its sloped armour, reliable V12 diesel engine, and wide tracks provided exceptional mobility across difficult Eastern Front terrain. Mass-produced with emphasis on simplicity and low manufacturing cost, the T-34-85 proved instrumental in the Red Army's drive towards Berlin and remained in service globally for several decades afterwards.
