COBI's 1:35 scale set of the famous BM-13 KATYUSHA rocket launcher features 440 elements and faithfully recreates the distinctive shape of the original vehicle. The model is designed to fit seamlessly with COBI figures and boasts rotating wheels with tires, an adjustable launcher angle, an opening vehicle cabin, and detachable rockets for added playability.

All graphic elements are of the highest quality prints. The included Soviet soldier figures represent the launcher service personnel, with detailed prints on both the officer and enlisted figures' backs. The Katyusha brick model is an iconic and unmistakable weapon from the Second World War. Experienced builders will also find the truck chassis useful for constructing other variants of World War II vehicles in the same scale.

History.

The Katyusha rocket launchers were a renowned family of Soviet-made weapons. They saw combat deployment from mid-1941 onwards. Despite their low accuracy, Katyushas proved highly effective in shelling enemy positions due to the concentrated barrage on a relatively small area and the sheer quantity of rockets launched. The piercing sound of these missiles being launched instilled panic among enemy ranks, earning the weapons the nickname "Stalin's Organs" by the Germans. The BM-13 model was a rail-mounted rocket launcher mounted on the ZIS car chassis, with M-13 missiles arranged in two rows. Depending on the version, they had a range of over 9 kilometers.
