Sd.Kfz.162 Jagdpanzer IV L/48 was a German tank destroyer based on the Panzer IV chassis and developed Sturmgeschütz III (StuG III). Although only this vehicle (the L/48) was named Jagdpanzer IV the same name, confusingly, is usually given for the Panzer IV/70 (see COBI-2483). Deployed in Normandy, the Battle of the Bulge and the Eastern Front. About 2,000 were built between 1943 and 1945.
