"Bought as a xmas present for my husband who normally builds the tamiya models. He absolutely loved it." ~ Tracy

"What an amazing build, so much fun, and the end result is a gorgeous looking Panzer iv! If you can call a tank gorgeous! I bought 2 as I wanted to build another version and in time no doubt, I will buy another set and then I will have all 3!" ~ Rob

The Panzer IV (Panzerkampfwagen or PzKpfw IV), developed in the late 1930s, remained in continuous production throughout the Second World War, with about 9,000 built. Versions F1/G/H were produced between 1943 and 1945. It was also used as the base for many other fighting vehicles including the Jagdpanzer IV tank destroyer, the StuG IV assault gun (cat no.2482) and other self-propelled weapons.

Upgrades and modifications such as increasing the weight of its armour or the power of its weapons were made to counter new threats and tended to extend its service life.
The Panzer IV was partially succeeded by the Panther medium tank (cat no.2466), introduced to counter the Russian T-34 (cat no.2476); but it continued as a significant component of German armoured formations to the end of the war and, in different hands, beyond. Panzer IVs were used by the Syrian army as late as 1967 during the 'Six Day War'

The block model has rotating turret with cannon that moves up and down, 2 trap doors that open and close and operable hood. From the blocks included in this set, fans can build three different types of tanks which differ in armament and armour. Additionally, there are two figures with accessories in the box.
