SD.KFZ.184 Panzerjäger Tiger 'Ferdinand' - Lego compatible COBI 2496 - 515 brick tank destroyer

Sale price £35.99 Regular price £39.99
Panzerjäger ('tank-hunters') units were a branch of the german Wehrmacht during the Second World War which operated anti-tank artillery, and made exclusive use of tank destroyers (also named Panzerjäger). They protected units of men from tank attack or supported infantry advances against an enemy using tanks and were often called upon to provide direct high explosive supporting fire to infantry by destroying machinegun and artillery positions, particularly in urban fighting. The name 'Ferdinand' (named after Ferdinand Porsche, the manufacturer) was changed to 'Elefant' in 1944 after modifications due to the former's poor performance at the Battle of Kursk in 1943

The model has a rotating turret and tilting main gun with operable hatches & engine compartment.
