2 cm Flakvierling 38 - Lego compatible WW2 kit COBI 2186 - 140 brick anti-aircraft gun
DISCONTINUED - LESS THAN FOUR REMAINING
An anti-aircraft gun produced in nazi Germany 1940-45. 'Vierling' literally translates as 'quadruplet' and refers to the four 20 mm gun constituting the design. The weapon consisted of quad-mounted 2 cm Flak 38 AA guns fired by a set of two pedals, collapsing seats, folding handles, and ammunition racks. The mount had a triangular base with a jack at each leg for levelling the gun. Its effective vertical range was 2,200 metres and it could be used just as effectively against ground targets as it was against low-flying aircraft.
